Notification (alarm and event) identifier arc. Defines the TsingYao enterprise-specific notification identifiers carried in Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps/informs, syslog and internal event messages, so that the management station can determine the event type directly by OID without parsing free text.
Sub-areas: 0.1 system notifications, 0.2 performance and threshold notifications, 0.3 certificate alarms, 0.4 security event notifications, 0.5 device and link notifications. Notification identifiers are pure event-type identifiers and shall not carry instance information; instance attributes shall be carried as varbinds or structured fields.
Status: registered but unused. No notification identifier in this arc has been bound to a trap, syslog or event message yet; when binding, register the event name, severity, trigger condition and payload fields together. The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: define the severity model (critical/major/minor/warning/info) and the recommended handling action for each notification, and keep the OID to event name mapping in the product documentation.
