Time Stamp Policy (TSP): defines the rules for applying time stamp services, including Time Stamp Authority (TSA) address selection, signature algorithm, validity check and the retry policy for requesting a Time Stamp (TS), guaranteeing the authenticity of the time stamp and its binding relationship with the signed data.
Recommended handling: confirm that the TSP configuration matches business requirements, verify TSA connectivity and certificate validity, and adjust the algorithm and timeout parameters as needed.
Status: registered but unused. No time stamp token has been issued under this policy; when activated, publish the TSA address and the accepted algorithms in the CPS or service description. The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: time stamping certificates shall carry the time stamping extended key usage only and shall be used exclusively by the TSA service (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.5.210).
