Certificate type identifier for Individual Validation (IV) Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) server certificates. In addition to domain control validation, the real identity of the individual subscriber is validated; it applies to websites operated by individuals.
Status: registered but unused. No certificate profile or CPS document has referenced this type identifier; before use, publish the IV validation level definition together with the IV policy (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.5.1.105). The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: because IV is a TsingYao proprietary validation level, always document it in the CPS and avoid implying equivalence with OV or EV in external communication.
