Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) Service. Provides user and device identity authentication, authorization policy enforcement and accounting record capabilities, supporting Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS), Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus (TACACS+) and certificate-based authentication.
Status: registered but unused. Not yet referenced by any product or deployment; when implemented, certificate-based authentication shall rely on the certificate types defined under 1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.5. The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: when certificate-based authentication is used, the AAA service shall perform full chain and revocation validation (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.0.3) and record the authentication result in the audit area (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.6.3).
