Network interface object. Describes physical and logical interfaces, including interface type, administrative and operational status, bandwidth, duplex mode, Media Access Control (MAC) address and traffic statistics.
Status: registered but unused. Not yet instantiated in any MIB module or telemetry model; when implemented, use a stable interface index that does not change when interfaces are added or removed. The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: keep interface up/down events in the reserved device and link notification sub-area (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.0.5) rather than adding new system notifications under 0.1.
