Internet of Things (IoT) gateway product line. Covers IoT gateways and protocol conversion gateways that connect southbound terminals and northbound platforms, providing protocol conversion, edge aggregation and secure tunneling capabilities.
Note: this node is a sibling product line of 2.700 rather than a child node. Keep this flat structure and document the relationship in the registry, or migrate the node under 2.700 as 2.700.100 if a parent-child relationship is required; never silently reinterpret an allocated identifier.
Status: registered but unused. No product model has been assigned under this product line; reserve separate sub-numbers for protocol conversion, edge aggregation and secure tunnel gateway series. The unused state shall be re-verified at each revision of this file.
Recommendation: a gateway usually holds both a device certificate (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.5.300) for uplink authentication and a trust point (1.3.6.1.4.1.59719.6.1.4) for validating downlink terminals; monitor both.
